As mentioned before, it is indeed a two seater rotary with a a new rotary engine called Sky-Active R. Grrrrrrr... Does the engine exist already though?? Not too sure, it might still be a far concept. They have not opened the hood of the car.

The car and its desginer, Ikuo Maeda, also responsible for the Rx-8...

I just realized after looking at the images on the FP, that there is not a single fucking body panel line on this entire hood and front fascia. I hope that isn’t a concept with a running engine, because I’d feel really bad for any mechanics that had to work on this concept.

Yeah sorry about that. Edited. It’s just that today’s styling trends tend, for my tastes, toward overstyling. Too many curves, vents, fins, creases, etc.

I hope it sells well if Mazda actually makes it. This could be the last production Wankel! Rotary fuel economy/reliability issues won’t sit well with the average consumer so that’s worrisome if you’re Mazda. This needs to be the most reliable/efficient rotary they’ve ever produced.

The RX-8 has too many curves, bulges, and creases. I'm glad this same designer evolved his style and was able to create this.
